Facility Needs

With growing enrollment, advances in teaching methods, and new technologies, Kelley Indianapolis has outgrown its current space. In 2009, the campus will request an appropriation from the state in part to support a new building for the School. Tentatively named the Innovation Center, this building will be the new home for Kelley Indianapolis, and elements of the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, and elements of the School of Science.

In addition to providing much needed classroom space, the Innovation Center will provide opportunities for collaboration among students and faculty members from the different schools to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. Dedicated “War Rooms” will encourage the development of initial business plans, necessary for any successful venture. The Innovation Center is also expected to become home for many economic development agencies charged with promoting commercial growth around the state.

If you would like to learn more about planning for the Innovation Center, please contact the Office of Development.
