Has it been so long since your last interview that you think it’s OK to wear blue bell bottoms and still make a good impression? Is your resume so outdated that your references are people you haven’t seen since eighth grade? Are you looking for an internship to get your foot in the door?
If so, you are just one of the many students the Kelley Career Planning Office wants to help. Beginning with a visit to kelley.iupui.edu/cpo site, you will get access to a wealth of information.
Access to events such as the Kelley Job Fair, Business Etiquette Luncheon, Job Search Boot Camp, Speed Interviewing and many others.
- Counseling services, online, by phone or face-to-face. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. Walk-in hours are 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. daily. You can call 278-0506 to speak with a counselor, make an appointment or ask questions.
- Use OptimalResume to build your resume and cover letter, as well as submit them to our counselors for review.
- Use InterviewStream, along with your webcam, to practice interviewing with your choice of interview questions.
- Use the links on kelley.iupui.edu/cpo and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for daily updates on what is happening in our office, new events and current economic news.
- The Career Planning Office works primarily with companies in the Indianapolis area. We will also show you how to search for positions in worldwide locations.
- Free self-assessments – MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory – will help you consider what majors and careers you should explore.
- Employers conduct mock interviews to help you get ready for the real thing.
- On-campus recruiting events will help you apply and gain jobs in a comfortable setting.
- The CPO office has multiple interview rooms as well as pamphlets and flyers to help you in your job search.
- Current Kelley Indianapolis undergraduates
- Kelley Indianapolis alumni
- MSA students who have paid the $150 fee
- You can apply for jobs and identify companies and contact information in your areas of interest.
- Upload your resume and cover letter to apply for posted jobs.
- Find out what events are coming up and register online
- Apply for Mock Interviews with local employers which are conducted in our offices.
While the CPO cannot guarantee you will find a job, every career counselor will give you the necessary tools to succeed.
