Professional Development – Enterprises
Kelley Evening MBA Enterprise Experience
- Benefits
Admission to an enterprise and the work that is produced through membership benefits a student in the following ways:
- Enterprise projects enable a student to experiment with a new career identity with little risk but potentially great reward. The challenge of managing the school's project relationship with a partner organization will expand a student's leadership breadth, scope, and perspective. The challenges that develop these skills cannot be offered by a traditional MBA class. Project completion will provide a useful focus for job interview discussions, especially for a student who wants to demonstrate seriousness about changing a career trek.
- The breadth of a student's professional opportunity is only as big as her network of professional contacts. Enterprise directors will purposefully generate opportunities for students to talk with individuals in the central Indiana business community who can offer targeted professional guidance. The relationship with an enterprise director enables a student to receive customized coaching that is available nowhere else in the MBA curriculum.
- Each enterprise is a community of MBA students with similar interests. This enhances the process of peer learning within the program. Enterprise directors will offer opportunities for social engagement that strengthen personal ties between enterprise members.
There are three Evening MBA Enterprise experiences to choose from, each with a distinct focus:
- Discovery, Innovation, and Ventures Enterprise (DIVE)
- Finance Development Enterprise (FIND)
- Global Supply Chain and Innovation Enterprise (gSCIE)
Students must apply to participate in an enterprise and selection will be competitive. Admission decisions will be based on demonstration of sincere professional vision and commitment to the experience, available space, and contributions that you will be able to make to the enterprise experience. Orientation meetings are generally required for students admitted to the Enterprise Experience.
