- I'm not ready to apply to the MBA program yet and have not taken the GMAT. Can I still take the prerequisite courses?
- Yes, to enroll in A501 and K501, the online prerequisites, you need to apply as a Kelley Non-Degree student. For pre-advising information, call our office at 274-4895.
- I am enrolled in another MBA program. Can I transfer credit into the Kelley Evening MBA program?
- Our program requires that 45 of the 51 credit hours be taken in residence while a student in the Kelley program. If students have been enrolled in a previous graduate business program, they may petition to have up to 6 hours of credit transferred in provided it meets certain criteria and has the approval of the MBA Chairperson. - Can I study in the Evening MBA program as an F1 or J1 visa student?
- The Evening MBA program is a part time, evening program. Students on an F1 or J1 visa must study full time and therefore are not eligible to study in the Evening MBA program. Please contact the full time program in Bloomington at mbaoffice@indiana.edu or the Kelley Direct Online MBA program at kdirect@iupui.edu as F1 and J1 students are eligible for these two programs.
- Do you accept the GRE instead of the GMAT?
- No, we require GMAT scores within the last 5 years from all applicants. We do not accept GRE scores.
- While my native language is not English, I have been in this country for several years. Do I still have to take the ESL test?
- Yes, all students who are not native English speakers and who do not have a degree from the United States, must take the ESL test before admission can be official.
- What is the minimum required GMAT score? Can I take it more than once?
- There is no minimum required GMAT score, however the average of students admitted to our program is 620. Students may take the GMAT as often as they like, we will always take the highest score for evaluating their application.
- How do I get my official GMAT scores reported to the Evening MBA Program?
- The code for the Evening MBA Program is GKS-8M-27 . Contact http://www.mba.com/ to get previous scores sent to us.
- Should I take particular courses to prepare for the Evening MBA Program?
- We have two prerequisite courses Financial Accounting and Statistics. Both should be within the last 5 years with a B- or better grade. See prerequisites. Students should also be comfortable with Excel.
- I applied for admission in a previous year and was denied. What is the reapplication process?
- If you applied within the past two years, you may simply send us a letter asking us to reactivate your application. Submit an updated resume, any new test scores or any other information you believe is relevant to your situation. You will not need to pay another application fee. If it has been more than two years, please contact our office for instructions.
- Is it possible to become an Indiana resident after starting the MBA program?
- The Office of the Registrar determines Indiana residency. Usually a student must be a resident of the state for 12 months, working full time and not here for the purpose of being a student to become a resident for tuition purposes.
