Dual Degree Programs

The programs are coupled with the Indiana University Schools of Law, Medicine, Public and Environmental Affairs and Purdue's School of Science and Engineering and Technology.

Dual Degree Programs: MBA/JD

MBA/JD dual degree is a program which permits the concurrent study of graduate law and graduate business course work and leads to both the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degrees.

This program is designed for individuals who want to practice law involving business clients, work in a corporate law department, or work in a government agency regulating business, among other law/business interrelated opportunities.

The curriculum consists of a mixture of required and elective courses which provides the MBA/JD student with core knowledge of the two programs. The MBA/JD student must meet the graduation requirements of each school individually including minimum grade point average and time-limit policies.

Students spend the first year in law school and then take business and law courses concurrently for the remainder of the program. All MBA core classes must be taken as intact modules.

Requirements: 39 credit hours of business courses and 80 credit hours of law courses.
