Lecturer in Business Economics

Indiana University Kelley School of Business Indianapolis invites applications for a Lecturer in Business Economics beginning in August 2010.

Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business provides programs in two locations: Bloomington and Indianapolis. Indianapolis programs are located on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Indianapolis is the twelfth largest city in the United States with a metropolitan population of over one and a half million. Indianapolis is considered to be one of America's most livable urban centers and a burgeoning center for R&D. The campus’ location within blocks of downtown Indianapolis facilitates advancement of research and teaching while presenting unique opportunities for internships, partnerships, community engagement, and more. With four professional sports teams, several world class museums, robust ethnic cuisine and a vibrant downtown Indianapolis is the fastest growing major metropolitan area in the Midwest.

Appointment will be dependent on qualifications. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. from an accredited institution, provide evidence of excellence in teaching, and demonstrate the ability to produce high quality scholarly work.

Lecturer in Business Law

Indiana University, Kelley School of Business Indianapolis invites applications for a full-time academic appointment to teach undergraduate courses in the primary area of Business Law and to manage our certificate and minor programs on the Indianapolis campus. Applicants should have a J.D., excellent teaching skills, an understanding of web based distributive education, strong organizational and management skills, excellent writing and communication skills, and computer skills. The position will begin in January 2010 or later and will be an Indianapolis-based position. Lecturers are hired on a one-year contract, which can be renewed. After a probationary period of six years, a lecturer can be considered for senior lecturer status and a multi-year contract. A full-time lecturer is required to teach four 3-hour sections of business classes each spring and fall semester. Managing the certificate and minor program will reduce the teaching load requirement. Salary and fringe benefits are competitive.
